Pickerings Lifts has provided lift maintenance and repair services for the Museum of Royal Worcester since 1998.
We will go above and beyond for all of our customers, wherever and whoever they are.
The Museum is a ceramics museum based at the Royal Worcester porcelain factory’s former site, housing the world’s largest collection of Worcester porcelain and the important factory archive, with objects dating back to the 1750s.
Pickerings Lifts services the two lifts that the Museum of Royal Worcester has on-site twice a year, a passenger lift and a wheelchair lift, both of which provide visitor access across the Museum.

The Museum prides itself on its disabled access, with full wheelchair access throughout the Museum, free blue badge parking available outside the Museum, free audio tours, free admission for essential carers and loan wheelchairs available for use free of charge, subject to availability.
Museums are busy environments that accommodate many people of different ages and backgrounds. With this in mind, engineers and management staff that look after the Museum are customer care and cultural awareness trained, and are Data Barring Service (DBS) checked.
All engineers and management staff on the contract also have safeguarding training, so that they are aware of the welfare of visitors at all times, especially older, disabled and younger people.
A broken lift in a Museum can cause problems for those reliant on it, especially at peak times like weekends and bank holidays. Pickerings Lifts engineers provide call-out facilities to the Museum of Royal Worcester around the clock, seven days a week, ensuring that any issues with lifts are resolved as quickly as possible.
Sophie Heath, Director at the Museum of Royal Worcester said “Inclusivity and access is something that is very important to us at the Museum in order to ensure that all of our visitors receive the same excellent experience.
“We have been working with Pickerings Lifts for over twenty years and we are delighted with the service we have received from them during this time, in order to keep our lifts moving and our visitors happy.”
