Lift Service Engineer | Lift Maintenance & Repair | Covering Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding area

 

Responsible for:

Undertaking lift servicing and minor repairs across the given route including out of hours responsibilities. Engineer will cover Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding area

Main Duties:

  • Carry out routine servicing, call outs and minor repairs, within a dedicated service route area, on all types of electrical and hydraulic goods, passenger and service lifts.
  • To complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts.
  • Participate in an out of hours on-call rota. (Currently 1 in 4).
  • Complete worksheets using company and customer systems.
  • Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times.

Person Specification:

  • To be customer focused with the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
  • Provide good organisational skills and to prioritise required tasks.
  • To self-motivate and have a can do attitude.
  • Hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel within the North East area.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Qualified to or above NVQ3 / J-Modules or an Apprenticeship or have a minimum of 5 years Lift Maintenance or repair experience.
  • Copies of any previous lift related qualifications certificates and/or any mechanical/electrical experience and/or a relevant engineering or electrical qualifications are required.

In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.

Lift Repair Engineer | Covering North East Region

Lift Repair Engineer | Covering North East Region

 

Main duties:

  • Undertake major repairs, refurbishment, and general maintenance duties on all types of goods, passenger and service lifts
  • To report service / repair requirements / defects to encourage improvements in lift equipment and safety
  • To complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts
  • Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times
  • To work with other Engineers and Trainee Engineers as and when required

Person specification:

  • To follow company instruction and directions to ensure safe working practice
  • To be customer focused with the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times
  • To communicate using company systems and devices (tablet and phone)
  • To provide good organisational skills and to prioritise required tasks
  • To self-motivate and attend company training as available
  • Hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel as required within our geographical region

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years lift industry experience is essential
  • Ideally qualified to or above NVQ3 in Engineering Maintenance (Lift Servicing) or J-Modules or Apprenticeship
  • Willingness to carry out training
  • Training will be provided to meet the industry requirements

Evidence of any previous lift related qualifications certificates and/or any mechanical/electrical experience and/or a relevant engineering or electrical qualifications must be provided.

In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.
