Operations Manager | Mobility | Central Office, Leeds


Main duties:

  • Management and operations of department
  • Ensure Customer needs are met and adhere to specific contracts but maintain profitability
  • Management of new stairlift and ceiling track hoist installations
  • Generation of minor repairs via T&M and quotations
  • Sourcing & ordering materials for minor repairs
  • Issue jobs to the engineers and ensure the correct parts are ordered
  • Check deliveries of new parts are correct and receive parts in on plasma
  • Return any faulty or wrong parts to manufacture
  • Issue credits to customers if needed
  • Source suppliers and parts for mobility products
  • Achievement of targets and performance
  • Deployment and recruitment of Personnel
  • Maintaining and developing excellent customer relations
  • Attend customer update meetings
  • Maintain and implement company plans and policies
  • Lead the development and motivation of the team
  • Control and maintain company assets
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Carry out appraisals
  • Authorise and pass time sheets to commercial

Responsibilities:

  • Processing repair/install jobs from start to completion including initial quotation and the coordination of the repairs throughout
  • Working directly under the Regional Manager the Operations Manager will be responsible for the overseeing of the department when the Regional Manager is not available
  • Also will be available to provide direction and guidance in technical delivery, health and safety to ensure a high standard of service is provided

Person specification:

  • Have a good standard of knowledge within the industry – Mechanical & Electrical
  • Have a good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
  • Previous managerial experience advantageous
  • Qualified / suitable experienced engineer
  • Business development /sales management desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Full driving license
  • Good leadership qualities

In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.

Mobility Stair-Lift Engineer | Covering Hull & Surrounding Areas

 

Responsible for:

We require a qualified Mobility Engineer to work within the Mobility Division working with Service/Fault Diagnosis/Repairs to all types of Stair lifts/Through Floor Lifts/Ceiling Hoists/Bath Lifts/Mobile Hoists/Wheelchair Lifts.


Person specification:

  • The candidate will also be required to assist in another area during busy periods and will need to be an experienced NVQ 2 or equivalent qualified Mobility Engineer to carry out all aspects of work within the department
  • Candidates should also have excellent customer skills, be self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team and participate in an out of hours call out rota

In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.
