Over £1,000 raised!
Pickerings Lifts held a grand Christmas raffle on Friday 14th December, with the proceeds going to Help for Heroes, a charity which supports British servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty.
Staff across the country dug deep and bought hundreds of raffle tickets, with prizes ranging from champagne and gift vouchers, through to gift hampers and paid holiday leave.
The money raised through raffle ticket sales was increased with a Christmas jumper day on the Friday, where staff wore their most festive clothing, a Christmas quiz and a seasonal craft fair.
Gary Rains, Service Sales and Marketing Director said: “Help for Heroes is a charity that is very close to our hearts as a company, especially as many of our staff come from military backgrounds.
I’d like to thank everyone who supported the charity by buying raffle tickets and donating money, as well as the staff, suppliers and local businesses who very kindly contributed raffle prizes.”
Pickerings Lifts has been involved in supporting a wide range of charities throughout 2018, through events including a blow football tournament, a wild west-themed summer event and a cake bake-off, raising over £3,300 for local and national charities, including Children of Masindi.
