Brentwood School is an independent day and boarding school in Brentwood, Essex. The school was established in 1557 and has over 1530 students ranging from the ages of 3 to 19. Alumni of the school include former foreign secretary Jack Straw, actor and comedian Griff Rhys Jones and former professional footballer Frank Lampard.
The 72 acre campus has five passenger lifts across the whole of the site.
Pickerings Lifts started working in partnership with Brentwood School in 2017 and provides maintenance, servicing and repair to these lifts four times a year, and are also on call to provide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency support if required.
All engineers attending servicing and maintenance at Brentwood School are Data Barring Service (DBS) checked and undergo safeguarding training so they are aware of the welfare of pupils at all times. Engineers also are at least NVQ level 3 trained and have a wide experience of working on a variety of different lifts manufactured by different companies.
Ian Maxwell, Estates Bursar at Brentwood School said: “As Brentwood School is such a large school, both in size and number of students, it is vital that our lifts are operational at all times to ensure safe and swift movement of staff, students and visitors. Pickerings Lifts thoroughly service all of our lifts to ensure peace of mind throughout the academic year.”
