Pickerings Lifts has opened a new 3,880 sq ft regional facility in Glasgow, strengthening its presence across Scotland and supporting continued growth in the region.
The new premises, located on the edge of the city with direct access to the M74 and M8 motorway network, have been chosen for their connectivity and scale. The site enables Pickerings to efficiently serve customers across the country, from the Highlands and Islands in the north to Stranraer in the south.
The new facility follows two previous Scottish premises in Glasgow and reflects sustained expansion across both its lift and loading systems operations.
Pickerings Lifts operates from 15 regional offices across the UK and works with more than 5,000 customers in sectors including healthcare, retail, hospitality, logistics and the public sector.
The company provides servicing, repair and installation of passenger lifts, goods lifts, service lifts and platform lifts, alongside loading systems including dock levellers, industrial doors and barriers for distribution and logistics facilities.

The modern facility in South Lanakshire offers significantly more operational space than the company’s previous premises and has been designed to create a professional environment for both employees and visiting customers.
Kiran Fothergill, Director of Pickerings Lifts, said: “Scotland is an important part of our business and this investment reflects our long-term commitment to the region. Each time we have moved premises here, it has been to accommodate growth, more engineers, more vehicles and greater operational capacity.
“This new facility gives us the space and infrastructure to support our expanding customer base right across Scotland. Its location, with excellent motorway links, means we can respond quickly and efficiently whether we are working in the Central Belt, the Borders or the Highlands and Islands.
“We compete with some of the largest international names in the lift industry, and this investment demonstrates our confidence in the Scottish market and in our team here.”
Paul Brooks, Managing Director, Pickerings Lifts, added: “We had outgrown our previous site and needed a facility that matched our ambitions for Scotland. This new base allows us not only to operate more effectively, but also to create a high-quality working environment for our team and a professional space where customers can see first-hand how we operate.
“Local presence matters. Many of our customers want to work with companies that are firmly established in their region. Being based here in Glasgow strengthens those relationships and supports our plans to grow both our lift and loading systems operations across Scotland.”
