Job Title: Trainee Estimator
Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading Industry specialist with 170 years’ experience.
Due to continued success and growth, we require a Trainee Estimator to provide cost estimates for repairs on loading bay and industrial access equipment covering Loading Systems North Region.
Main Duties:
- Manage and maintain company’s service management system (Plasma) in order to meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Provide pricing quotations to existing customer base.
- Site Surveys as and when required.
- Carry out technical and commercial checks of order documentation.
- Works with engineers and office staff to ensure pricing correctly reflects company process and customer agreed rates.
Person specification:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Loading Systems experience desirable
- Technically able and commercially aware
- Formal technical qualification or relevant practical experience
- Experience of Estimating/cost calculation of products
- Excellent organisation and IT skills
