Lift Service Callout Engineer

East Anglia Regional Office & cover Essex & surrounding areas

Applicants should be time served/NVQ L3 Engineers with lift experience and be willing to undertake callout duties.  You will also be well motivated, flexible, have good customer service skills and be able to work on your own initiative. The successful candidate will report to the East Anglia Regional Office and cover Essex and surrounding area’s including Chelmsford, Colchester and Braintree.  A full driving licence is essential.

Main duties will include:

  • Carry out routine servicing, call outs and minor repairs, within a service route area, on all types of electrical and hydraulic goods, passenger and service lifts.
  • To complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts
  • Complete worksheets using company and customer systems.
  • Participate in an out of hours on-call rota.
  • Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times

Person Specification:

  • Qualified to or above NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a lift engineering discipline.
  • Provide support to other engineers when needed.
  • Be self-motivated, have great customer service skills and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
  • DBS Checks will be carried out due to the nature of some of customer sites.
  • Some computer knowledge – as you will be required to use customer log on systems and company electronic devices.
  • To provide lift services and callouts as required in addition to some minor repairs. To carry out callout duties as part of the nightcall rota team.
  • Be able to work as a team.
  • Good communication skills are required.

In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.
