Job Title – Trainee Loading Systems Engineer
Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading lift specialist with 170 years’ experience. Due to continued success and growth, we require a Trainee Loading Systems / Industrial Door Service Engineer to carry out maintenance and repairs of Industrial doors, loading bays and associated equipment.
This role is based from the Loading Systems East Anglia Regional Office, Various working routes available.
Duties Include:
- To be proficient in servicing, fault finding, repairs & Installs on loading bay and industrial equipment including dock levellers (mechanical & hydraulic), scissor lifts & vehicle restraints and industrial doors, gates and barriers – Assisting the engineer whilst in training
- To complete service check sheets, on completion of service compile detailed report for any additional work to be carried out – Assisting the engineer whilst in training
- To complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts – assisting the engineer whilst in training
- Actively participate in an on-call Rota within the Region – When trained and qualified
- Conform to and always utilize best practice within Health & Safety
- Traveling to and from different sites and gaining practical experience in new work zones
- Submitting to all forms of evaluation during the traineeship
Personal Specification:
- Full driving license is essential as company van will be provided
- Willingness to undertake ongoing Health & Safety training as directed by the Company’s QHSE Dept, keeping up to date with the latest health and safety guidelines and training
- Good observation skills and a willingness to learn
- Possess good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to undertake competency, product & H&S training
