Job Title – Mobility Service Engineer

Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading lift specialist with 170 years’ experience. We require an experienced Service Engineer to join our Mobility Business Stream. Working across the mobility range of products including Stairlifts, Through floor lifts, Platform Lifts, Hoists and Bath Lifts. The ideal candidate would have mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience. NVQ level 2 would be an advantage but not essential. A full driving licence and a willingness to travel and participate in a callout rota are essential.

Duties Include:

  • Servicing a range of mobility equipment
  • Fault Diagnosis of various products
  • Repair of faulty or damaged products
  • Safely work on Stairlift, Through Floor Lifts, Ceiling Hoists, Bath Lifts, Mobile Hoists and Wheelchair Lifts

Personal specification:

  • Mobility products including servicing and repair
  • Qualified to an NVQ level 2 is an advantage (or apprenticeship + industry experience)
  • Valid driving licence - as a company vehicle will be provided
  • Handheld device knowledge, as you will be required to use customer log on systems and company tablets – training will be provided
  • Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
