Job Title – IT Helpdesk Support Technician

Due to continued success and growth, we require a IT Helpdesk Support Technician to join our expanding team. The successful IT Helpdesk Technician responsible for providing support for Systems and IT infrastructure; providing a helpdesk enquiry service both onsite and remotely and ensuring administrative systems and processes are kept up to date.

Main Duties:

  • Provide first line technical support and assistance to internal IT users
  • Manning the IT helpdesk telephone and logging all support calls that are received
  • Where possible troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving software, hardware, and network problems that users encounter
  • Escalating helpdesk requests to the relevant IT engineer, if not able to be solved after initial diagnostics
  • Learn and support bespoke internal ERP system
  • The procurement, configuration, deployment and monitoring of new hardware and software services
  • Liaise with 3rd party hardware & software suppliers to ensure problem resolution within agreed SLA
  • Maintain technical support processes, user manuals and other documentation as necessary to support service delivery

Essential Skills and Desirable Knowledge:

  • Basic Windows Active Directory User and Group Administration
  • Windows Desktop Support
  • Hardware Support (printers, laptops, computers, etc)
  • Microsoft 365 Office packages
  • Helpdesk Applications and Procedures
  • TCP/IP Troubleshooting (Desirable)
  • IT Security Administration (Desirable)
  • Mobile Device Management for Android & iOS (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms (Desirable)
  • Microsoft InTune (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Defender (Desirable)

Personal Specifications:

  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • The ability to work well in a team environment, and to be able to work alone if the situation required it
  • Confident enough to ask for help when unsure how to proceed in a tricky environment
