Pickerings Lifts is one the UK’s leading and largest independent lift companies, providing maintenance, modernisation and new products for Lifts, Escalators, Loading Systems and Mobility businesses.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Lift Maintenance & Repair Team at our Midlands Regional Office, based in Redditch, they are recruiting for an experienced Administrator. Responsibilities will be to provide an efficient and seamless administration service to the Lift Maintenance & Repair team.

Responsible for:

To provide an efficient and seamless administration service to the Midland Regional Office.

Main Duties:

  • To provide a professional and courteous telephone service to internal and external customers.
  • To manage the reactive call work stream as well as reactive maintenance visits.
  • To schedule new service contracts on the in-house maintenance system.
  • To submit customer quotations and quotation follow-up letters on dedicated service management system.
  • To review quotations and orders for specific clients to meet defined targets
  • To ensure all paperwork is appropriately filed.
  • To capture all office data as required within the general administration remit.
  • Process and verify all engineers’ paperwork
  • Prepare timesheets
  • Constant communication with customers and engineers.
  • Daily control of engineer’s job loading
  • Provide administration assistance to all business units as required
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Person specification:

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Business Administration or Customer Service (Desirable)
  • Be able to demonstrate commercial acumen
  • Excellent IT Skills (Office 365)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Effective time management skills


In addition to the above, the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role.
