Two students joined us for a weeks’ work experience, in order to find out more about life in one of the largest lift maintenance companies in the country.
Adam joined our staff at Head Office and the North East office, where he spent time in a variety of departments including sales, marketing, IT and finance.
As part of his work experience, Adam also went out on a photo-call with the marketing team, as they visited Community Campus ‘87 to handover a cheque from a recent fundraising event.
Adam, who would like to go into business management as a career said: “It was really interesting to see how all the different departments worked together to help the business grow. Everyone was really friendly and I enjoyed my week here.”
Daniel joined our staff in our Redditch office for a week to find out more about the life of a lift engineer.
Daniel shadowed his dad Garry for the week, attending lift maintenance visits and call-outs, as well as spending time in the Redditch office, where he got to see how the office worked and how we respond to an emergency call-out situation, from initial phone call through to customer sign-off.
Andrew Buck, Regional Manager for our Redditch office said: “It was a pleasure to have Daniel join us for work experience. We have several father-son engineer pairings across the business and maybe in a few years’ time, Daniel will come on board with us to start an apprenticeship.”
