The Teesside Hospice Care Foundation was formed in 1982 as a response to the shortfall in specialised care for those suffering from a life limiting illness in the Teesside region.
Working closely with other health and social care staff involved in the care of the patient and their family, including GP’s, Community Nurses and other Specialist Palliative Care professionals. Teesside Hospice also provides bereavement counselling, outpatient clinics, education and training.
With so many people taking part at Head Office, there were staggered rounds and knock out stages of the Football Shoot-Out, Doughnut Nibble Challenge (Don’t lick your lips!), Giant Connect 4, Footy Blind Card, Tombola Tent which was full of interesting prizes and Beat the Buzzer. Anyone who forgot to dress down for the event, was able to rent a football shirt for the day!
The lunchtime Pie and Peas queue was the busiest and was very well received.
Pickerings Lifts were more than happy to support a wonderful charity.
