Tech donation to St Peter’s Catholic College

Helping our local communities is so important to us all at Pickerings Lifts and we do all we can to support those in need. That’s why we’ve donated over 70 refurbished tablets to St Peter’s Catholic College, a secondary school that’s local to our Stockton headquarters.

The devices, which were originally used by our offsite engineers, have been donated to the school’s Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) department, to help support students with additional needs.

Supporting local people

Our IT Manager, Nigel Rose said:

“When we upgraded our tablet stock, we didn’t want the previous tablets to go to waste so we decided to refurbish them, ensure they were all in good working order and donate them to St Peter’s.

“It’s really important for us to invest in our local community and support local people where we can. We know these tablets will provide great benefits to pupils and it was great to meet some of them when we donated the devices earlier this week.”

Each device also has a durable, hardwearing case to ensure they’re fully protected and as user friendly as possible. It means the tablets can be taken on field trips and used outside – something which is extremely useful and beneficial to learning.
