Supporting Marie Curie
Great Daffodil Appeal
National charity supporting our local communities
We have thirteen regional offices, across the UK including Head Office in Stockton-on-Tees and we all work closely with local businesses and local people.
So with that in mind in quarter one we decided to support the amazing national charity Marie Curie, a charity that helps our local communities.
Throughout March, we held a quiz for all our staff to take part and on Thursday 31 March we all dressed down (or up) by wearing something yellow. We asked our engineers to wear yellow socks or a daffodil to show their support!
As with our previous fundraising efforts, all donations were collected online through JustGiving. This was to avoid handling cash and preventing the spread of Covid-19, keeping our staff safe. Not only that, but the money goes directly to Marie Curie.
Our staff donated generously and raised an amazing £200!
Every £20 donated to the charity will pay for a Marie Curie nurse to attend a terminally ill person in their home for one hour.
Neil Marsden, Sales and Marketing Director, said:
“Marie Curie is a charity close to many hearts and the work they provide is outstanding. I am very proud of all our staff who have donated and got involved with the quiz, and dressed down in yellow. This will allow Marie Curie to continue with their amazing work out in the communities.”
