Brave members of the Pickerings Lifts team took on an abseil for charity, raising over £1,000 for several brilliant causes.
Head of Central Services Darren Hope, Technical Manager Frank Studders and Customer Support Manager Warren Griffin headed to the National Abseil Centre in Northampton alongside their families and friends.
Offering extreme outside abseils of 400 feet, the National Abseil Centre is the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world and is the height of nearly 29 double decker buses.
All staff successfully made it down the tower, raising funds for charities close to their hearts including The Motor Neurone Disease Association, St Peter & St James Hospice and Georgie’s Gift.
Frank Studders, our Technical Manager based in the North West, said: “It really was a blast, a great thrill and we were down in a flash.”
They have raised over £1,000 so far, with lots more money to come.
Pickerings Lifts is dedicated to corporate social responsibility (CSR), including fundraising for a variety of worthwhile regional and national causes.
