Pickerings Lifts Summer Raffle 2021
Raising funds for local charities across the UK
You see, every Pickerings Lifts office is embedded in the local area, and there’s a deep vein of giving back to your community and region ingrained in our staff.
We have twelve local lift servicing, maintenance and repair offices spread across England, Scotland and Wales.
A further two loading systems offices serving the north and south of the UK, installing and servicing scissor lifts, dock levellers and loading bays country-wide
And we also have a Mobility maintenance division covering the M62 and Yorkshire.
So essentially… wherever our engineers work, they’re locals.
We live and work directly alongside our customers.
And that means we have a vested interest in helping our local communities and regions.
That’s why, for our 2021 summer charity event, we’re raising money for twelve local charities, chosen by our regional offices and Head Office.
Head Office, Stockton-on-Tees are raising funds for Teesside Hospice
North East Office, Stockton-on-Tees are raising funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
Scotland Office, Glasgow are raising funds for Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH)
North West Office, Manchester are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support
North West and North Wales Office, Warrington are raising funds for Marie Curie
Central Office, Leeds are raising funds for Andy’s Man Club Leeds
East Coast Office, Hull are raising funds for Hull Animal Welfare Trust
Midlands and Central Wales Office, Redditch are raising funds for Wythall Animal Sanctuary
London North and East Anglia Office, Romford are raising funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home
London South, Bletchingley are raising funds for British Heart Foundation
West Country and South Wales Office, Bristol are raising funds for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary
South Coast and South East office, Burgess Hill are raising funds for St Barnabas House
Of course, over the past eighteen months everyone has had their hands full just coping with the pandemic.
And that means we can’t do all the traditional things we would do… cake stands… summer fete games… going around the offices collecting cash donations.
So this year we’re running the Pickerings Lifts Summer Raffle online
We’ve pulled together over fifty different prizes, and we’re raffling them to staff across all the offices… £1 for five tickets.
Staff pay online through either JustGiving or Gofundme, so we never have to handle any cash, and all they do is leave their names. We sort out all their tickets for them behind-the-scenes.

It’s already working
Before we’ve even had chance to put our first internal email out, we’ve already had donations from a dozen staff, in excess of £200.

We would love and encourage anybody reading this post to kindly donate to the charities involved, after all, they are in your region, and I know any support from you would be greatly received… but we need to state that the raffle part of the charity event is for Pickerings Lifts staff members only.
