The Pickerings Lifts Loading Systems team have taken a few business trips with a difference so far this year!
Earlier this year, Shaun Parry, our Deputy Project Manager went to Iceland to carry out training on behalf of one of our UK customers, a national wholesaler.
Shaun was in Iceland for two days to train our customer’s local service providers how to use the industrial doors, docks and vehicle restraints on their premises.
At the same time, Shaun audited the site and set up a dispatch and receive process so we can supply and ship parts out to Iceland in the future.
Shaun said “It was a very interesting trip, it was the first time I’ve ever been out to Iceland and I really enjoyed it there, apart from the driving conditions!”
“Our customer was pleased with the training we provided and it is proof that as a company, we go above and beyond for all of our customers.”
The Loading Systems team then travelled to Belgium to take part in training with one of our suppliers.
Sales staff and engineers from Pickerings Lifts went to Moorsel in Belgium to spend time with our suppliers Entrematic, who provide our Dynaco range of high speed roll up doors. Staff took a tour of the factory and showroom, learned about the different types of doors Entrematic supply and how they work.
Jason Tonge, Loading Systems National Project Sales Manager said: “The training we received was excellent, extremely detailed and enjoyable, and the Entrematic team went above and beyond to ensure that we were all looked after.”
“The full technical support and experience of their design engineers will enable Pickerings Lifts to offer high value advanced technology doors to clients such as OEM’s, storage and distribution centres areas across the UK, for applications such as chemical, pharmaceutical and hazardous products, where operational safety is a priority.”
Staff training – going above and beyond!
All of our Loading Systems engineers are trained to at least NVQ 2, and are kept up to date with all the latest changes in technology and health and safety legislation. No matter what piece of equipment you need our team to install or maintain, our engineers have the skills and knowledge.
Not only this, but our Loading Systems team help blaze a trail with the training courses of the future. Some of our engineers recently trialled a new safety course with trade association dhf, helping to determine whether it would become an accredited course in the future.
